A BEAR AND A BOAR

Once upon a barren moor
There dwelt a bear, also a boar,
The bear could not bear the boar,
The bear thought the boar was a bore.

At last the bear could bear no more
That boar that bored him on the moor.
And so one morn he bored the boar-
That boar will bore no more!

-Unknown.

AIN’T GIVING UP!

Ain't giving up!
No matter what's up,
I'm moving up!

Foes may try to block my way
And friends may move away,
But I'll keep trying anyway.

Come sunshine, come rain,
Nothing will make me drain,
Through it all, greater zeal I'll gain.

In the end, I'll throw my head in the air
Even though the enemy did ere,
Songs of victory shall fill the air.

YES YOU CAN!

Yes you can!
You can do anything if you try,
Believe in yourself and on God rely,
‘cause His strength for you He won’t deny,
And your greatest wishes, He can satisfy.

Yes I can!
I can make it in all I do,
And all I desire can come through,
If I’m passionate enough to pursue,
Then shall all my dreams come true.

Yes we can!
We can succeed in our carriers
And even overcome highest barriers,
As long as we can persevere,
We can’t be defeated, winners we’ll appear.

ANCIENT OF DAYS

O! Ancient of days
who sits on the throne,
You shall reign unending days,
And no one can drone.

Your garment white as snow,
Your hair like pure wool,
You’re highly lifted; I know,
One who doubts you is a fool.

Your throne like fiery flame,
And your wheels as burning fire,
Your foes are put to shame
And for’er damned in your ire.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

Life is beautiful,
Hi! don’t you think so too?
Oh, the world is a wonderful place,
Show some deeds of love and grace,
Then joy and beauty will flow around,
Lend a helping hand to ones you’ve found,
Hope is thus brought alive once again,
So we feel good and our spirit we regain,
Wear a happy face; let laughter blaze,
Hear; that’s how to make our world a happy place.

Quin For A Queen

A quin for a queen,
This one will soothe her sterile gloom,
Another one for her king,
Maybe he’ll hear to be an heir,
One quin for the king’s chief
Who dares to have a dear,
One other one will be for me,
He could make up a mate,
The last must stay with the mother,
At least he could leave a relief.

BYE-BYE BULLY

Bye-bye, bye-bye bully,
Now I’ve known you fully,
All you do is intimidate,
No more will I tolerate.

Don’t Be Lazy

Don’t be lazy, little one,
Be up and doing all the time,
Wash the dirty dishes
And tidy up your room,
Then you will be neat and fit.

Don’t be lazy, little one,
Learn to read and write well,
Pay attention in class
And do your homework,
Someday, you will be so great.

Don’t be lazy, little one,
A little sleep and a little play,
Work, learn, but pray too,
And be obedient to God and elders,
In no long time, ‘you’re a star!’

I HAD A DOG

Once a time I had a dog,
I called his name Perry,
He carries around a bone and does jog,
Especially when he is merry.

QUACK, QUACK, DUCKY-DUCK

Quack, quack, ducky duck,
Flap your wings flap-flap too,
As you ride down the stream; buck,
Call your ducklings: say yoo-hoo!
Quack, quack, ducky duck,
Ducky ducklings droopily do.
