Oh, it is a tragic finding,
An infant got lost in his sleep in bed,
That annoying evil tidings,
An illness it must be; we said,
Or could it be an infirmity?
The mother pierced in sorrow,
For the sudden calamity,
Alas! It was a cot death, oh!
This poem was written by Albert A. Olofinnika.
